Who can apply to Newfriars College?

Newfriars College welcomes young people with special educational needs and disabilities who are ready for post-16 education and want to develop skills for independence, employment and community life.

 

How do I apply for a place?

Start by visiting an open event or arranging a tour, then speak to your current school and Local Authority to name Newfriars College as your preferred placement on your EHCP.

What curriculum pathways are available?

We offer personalised pathways including Vocational programmes, Independent Living, Supported Living and Supported Internships such as Project Search, tailored to each learner’s needs, interests and future goals.

How will my young person be supported?

Specialist staff, small groups and personalised targets ensure learners receive the right educational, therapeutic and pastoral support so they feel safe, confident and ready for adult life.

How are parents and carers involved?

We work in partnership with parents and carers through regular communication, progress reviews and invitations to events, so you stay informed and involved in every stage of your young person’s journey.
